This is a photograph of a pair of Tawny Frogmouths. As these birds have the unique ability to blend in with their surrounding area, they can be difficult to see. This photograph was taken on slide film, and scanned to a digital image. These beautiful birds were photographed at the Stirling Ranges in Western Australia.

I gave up smoking cigarettes, and started photographing. Did not save any money, but now live a lot healthier life style. I love nothing more than to get about, and to photograph the wonderful world we live in. I try to capture things as they really are. I do very little editing in photoshop. A lot of my older photographs were taken on film, and then scanned to a digital image. Now days, the only time I use film is photographing thunder storms. WOW, what a great shot! I saw this in the Camouflage Contest, and had to vote for it there, and here. I'm glad I saw it in the contest, had I not known this was a Camo Contest, I'm not sure I would have seen these wonderful birds in it.. Great work.. FV
