Artist's Description
In this magnificent photograph I have caught the wave created by the backwash off the basalt rocks colliding with an incoming wave. The result of the collision is this spectacular wave pattered splash that is about 10 metres (30 foot) high.
This image was photographed at Rocky Point, in Bunbury, Western Australia.
For the technically minded, this photograph was shot on a Canon 6D camera at 100 ISO, f8 for 1/320 second shutter speed.
