This colour photograph is of a W Class steam locomotive. This fully restored and running locomotive runs on the Hothman Valley Tourist Railway located in Dwellingup, Western Australia. The 2 hour trip takes you down and then back up the Darling Ranges. You get to experience the sounds of the steam locomotive climbing one of the steepest section of railway in Western Australia.

Hello all, and thankyou for visiting my little area on the wide world web. I have lived in the south west corner of Australia all my life. My love of photography started over 30 years ago. I gave up smoking cigarettes, and started photographing. Did not save any money, but now live a lot healthier life style. I love nothing more than to get about, and to photograph the wonderful world we live in. I try to capture things as they really are. I do very little editing in photoshop. A lot of my older photographs were taken on film, and then scanned to a digital image. Now days, the only time I use film is photographing thunder storms. I love to photograph all things, but my favorite has to be getting out in thunder storms and capturing...
