This colour photograph shows the Milky Way rising above the Ferguson Valley, in Western Australia. The dark skies in this photograph shows the unique colours and patterns of our universe. The bright red star near the bottom of the photograph is the planet Mars. For the technically minded, this photograph was created by stitching 10 images together to create one magnificent photograph. Photographed using a Canon 6D camera.

Hello all, and thankyou for visiting my little area on the wide world web. I have lived in the south west corner of Australia all my life. My love of photography started over 30 years ago. I gave up smoking cigarettes, and started photographing. Did not save any money, but now live a lot healthier life style. I love nothing more than to get about, and to photograph the wonderful world we live in. I try to capture things as they really are. I do very little editing in photoshop. A lot of my older photographs were taken on film, and then scanned to a digital image. Now days, the only time I use film is photographing thunder storms.
